2025 Recap at CI Tennis Club

We kicked off 2025 at CI with a January storm and everyone held their collective breath to see if our dome was still standing the next day, unfortunately it didn’t survive and we bravely had to play outside for the rest of the winter!

February was all systems go for the singles league, Mixed League and Ladies and Gents evergreen leagues. On the social side, VI@CI held a fundraiser table quiz which turned out to be the largest quiz night the club had ever seen!

We held our annual St Patricks Day event in March (obviously) and despite the rain showers we kept smiling and playing tennis! April saw our Mens B Team top Division 4 League table with our other teams all putting in very strong performances.

Captains Day was held in June and despite this being our summer the rain made it impossible to play but we still carried on, moved the BBQ indoors and partied the night away.

July saw us hold our annual Ballycastle tournament, an away day trip to the beach for some sun, sea and tennis and maybe a bit of food and drink thrown into the mix.

Captains day mark 2 was held in August and this time we did get the weather we were hoping for. The front picture is of our winners, runners up and our sponsor.

September and October saw more success for league teams, our brand new dome went up and our annual Prizegiving evening was held in the clubhouse in December.

2025 was a great year for the club and we head into 2026 with excitement for what’s ahead.
